He Preferred Indoor Sets
Walken acknowledged to Interview magazine in 2016 that he no longer finds outdoor filmmaking appealing because of the elements. He would much rather work on indoor sets instead. He stated, “There are places I don’t want to go. Making movies on tops of mountains, in the desert, playing scenes while icy torrents of rivers rush by. The jungle. It’s very uncomfortable. I want to make movies on a soundstage.”

It Was Because Of An Omelette
Stephen Merchant, the creator of The Outlaws, drove to Walken’s Connecticut home to persuade him to sign up for the show, which would shoot in Bristol, England. Trader said to Chortle, “‘One of the first things he said was, “Would you like some of this omelet?” He’d made an omelet, which I was not expecting. I’ve subsequently read in an interview that the fact that I ate it was one of the reasons he agreed to do the show.”
