Law enforcement sources told The New York Post that “The Wire” star Michael K. Williams died of a suspected heroin overdose in his Brooklyn apartment on Monday, Sept. 6, according to the sources. According to insiders, Williams, 54, was discovered comatose in the dining room of his posh Williamsburg flat, with what seemed to be heroin on the kitchen table, when he returned home. Authorities pronounced the actor dead around 2:12 p.m., according to sources, who added that it appeared the actor had died as a result of an overdose. “There has been no indication of foul play,” a police source stated. “There was no forced entry, and everything in the flat was in working order.”

Sarah Harding, the lead vocalist of the band Girls Aloud, died on September 5, 2021, after a year-long struggle with breast cancer. She was 39 years old at the time. Marie Harding, Harding’s mother, shared the heartbreaking news on the singer’s Instagram page the same day. “Many of you will be aware of Sarah’s fight with cancer and the fact that she fought valiantly from the time of her diagnosis until her death. “She slipped away softly this morning,” says the author.
