The OK Corral After A Fire
Year: 1882
Location: Tombstone, Arizona
Tombstone, Arizona is well-known for its Old West heritage. It was originally home to the OK Corral, a famed saloon known for outlaws, gunfights, and copious amounts of whiskey. The OK Corral is seen here following a fire in the late 1800s, barely one year after the historic gunfight that placed the establishment on the map. The OK Corral rose from the ashes, and visitors can still reenact cowboy showdowns at its outdoor theater on Allen Street.

Playing A Game of Faro
Year: 1895
Location: Western U.S.
These men gathered at a nearby saloon to play Faro (also known as Pharaoh). This French gambling game was popular in Western gaming halls until circa 1915. It was a transitory pastime to pass the time during the Gold Rush era, and Faro had lost its allure by 1925. Following that, it was only available at a few Nevada casinos. Without a doubt, the winners and losers of Faro caused quite a few rapid draws back in the Wild, Wild West.
