On the show within a show, a banner reads, “Europe puts Greece on eBay.” Although Greece experienced a severe debt crisis in 2015, Europe did not sell the entire country on eBay. It was the first developed country to do so.

The show’s ode to cryptocurrencies is one of the elements that many spectators find difficult to grasp. In an older episode, they make a veiled reference to the “Shiba Inu Coin” meme coin. As the show had playfully predicted, the price of this coin would skyrocket in 2022. Several episodes of the show appear to have made various references to cryptocurrency.
