People entering space today are almost normal! Every day, it seems, we learn of a new space mission backed by a different billionaire. When this episode, in which Homer is transported into space, was released, the idea of citizens exploring space was little more than a pipe dream. NASA sent their first human into space shortly after the episode in which Homer goes on his space mission aired. At this point, we shouldn’t be surprised.

Characters In 1994, Kearney and Dolph attempted to compose a message that said “Eat up Martha” rather than “Bear up Martin.” This was the case prior to the autocorrect tool that we all now utilize. Even Apple’s previous director of engineering confirmed that the phrase “Eat up Martha” would be used as a hint to the program’s autocorrection prediction. The Simpsons have an unrivaled influence!
