FaceTime In 1995
In a mid-90s episode, Lisa and Marge talk via a contraption they call a “picture phone.” It appeared to be extremely similar to the present technology with which we are all familiar. The show had no idea that this episode will predict the early iterations of “Facetime.” Perhaps the play inspired Steve Jobs and the other business titans to launch their own companies.

The Apple Watch
The Simpsons was hardly the only show to picture smart watches before they were produced, but they did predict several of their main features. The show skips ahead to 2010 in a 1995 episode. Lisa’s boyfriend proposes marriage to her by speaking into a watch that mimics today’s popular Apple watches. In 2014, the first smartwatch with voice commands was released.
