Biz Markie, the legendary New York rapper best known for his hit single “Just a Friend,” passed away on July 16 after a long struggle with complications from diabetes. With his wife by his side, the artist, who was born Marcel Theo Hall, passed away in a Baltimore hospital on March 31. He was 57 years old at the time.
