88-year-old Barbara Shelley, the British horror film star known as “Queen of Hammer” for her work in Hammer Horror films from the 1950s and 1960s, passed away on January 4 at the age of 88. As stated by her agency, although she had gotten the virus COVID-19, “it wasn’t the COVID that took her; she was suffering from underlying concerns.”

Rapper DMX died on April 9 at the age of 50, according to his family. He had been in a “vegetative state” after suffering a heroin overdose earlier in the month, according to the famed artist, who was born Earl Simmons.
