The excessive amount of sequels hitting theaters was the subject of a Simpsons parody episode. The episode includes both a Star Wars 7 movie poster and an Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 movie poster. In a humorous turn of events, comparable sequels were launched in 2015 at the same time. Of course, the only difference was in the titles.

The Soccer Corruption Controversy + A Soccer Win
In this 2014 episode, The Simpsons delivered a double whammy forecast that was difficult to accept. The episode focuses on Homer, who is assisting the World Football Federation in resolving the myriad crises that have afflicted the league as a result of corruption claims. Only one year later, FIFA received widespread criticism for the same reasons. As if that weren’t enough, they projected that Germany would defeat Brazil in the 2014 World Cup. Unbelievable!
