Arlene Golonka, a veteran of the sitcom industry, passed away on May 31 at the age of 85. The Chicago native, who was best remembered for her role as Millie Swanson in the 1968 to 1971 television series “Mayberry R.F.D.,” had Alzheimer’s disease, according to her niece, who spoke to Variety.

He died on May 29 after a long illness. Gavin MacLeod was best known for his role as Captain Stubing on the popular television series “The Love Boat.” He had also been in “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “McHale’s Navy.” He was 90 years old at the time. In a tweet, “Mary Tyler Moore” actor Ed Asner expressed his heartbreak over the show’s cancellation. “Gavin was my brother, my criminal (and food) companion, and my hilarious conspirator,” says the author.
