A Tough Situation
The sewer was filthy and often overflowing with garbage, and it was heart-wrenching to see the animals freezing without access to food. It was a blessing that the animals were still alive! The team was unsure if it was going to be safe for the animals, but the least they could do was try.

If the mother is around the place, she would prefer to rescue the babies on her own. If they ever tried to take the babies out and the mother came back suddenly, she might end up abandoning them.
