30+ Hilarious Movie And TV Bloopers You Never Noticed!

Published on 11/09/2023

Blockbusters in Hollywood typically have budgets in the millions of dollars. Big names and even bigger stars frequently collaborate to create the best images and storylines we’ve ever seen—or do they? Some things, it turns out, still fall between the cracks. The biggest film and television blunders you probably didn’t notice before prove that even millions of dollars can’t always buy you perfection. Indeed, many people have been left wondering how such errors could have slipped through the net despite so many checks.

Back to the Future almost made no film faults

  • Movie: Back to the Future
  • Year: 1985
  • Mistake: The guitar Marty McFly plays in the past wasn’t released for another four years

A film set in the past and the future, especially when time travel is involved, almost sounds like a formula for disaster. Surprisingly, the sci-fi classic ‘Back to the Future’ almost got away with every facet of the past, present, and future with no gaps. That is, until they came across the guitar. Marty McFly famously grabs a guitar and begins playing ‘Johnny B. Goode’ at the school dance, wowing the audience. While being from the future implies that the teen is aware of things that do not yet exist, it does not imply that he is magical, which leaves little explanation for the ES-345 guitar, which was not released for another four years.

Legolas goes through some wardrobe changes between LOTR and The Hobbit

  • Movie: The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit franchises
  • Year: 2001 – 2014
  • Mistake: Legolas’ eyes get lighter in the second franchise

When we base characters on ones from novels, we already have something to work with when it comes to developing their appearance. Unfortunately, this means that fans will have something to compare the ones on the big screen to when they see them for the first time. That was the case with Legolas in several films. ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit,’ both directed by Peter Jackson, feature the figure. We only have one question: how did Legolas’ character alter eye colors across franchises despite the fact that the same team was working behind the scenes? It’s certainly an out of the ordinary decision for the character.

Those swinging Spider-Man scenes seem to cause more issues than necessary

  • Movie: Spider-Man
  • Year: 2002
  • Mistake: Spider-Man is replaced with a mannequin and the wind blows in the wrong direction

If there’s one thing people have learnt in recent years, it’s that superhero movies have been given a fresh lease on life. Plenty of celebrities make it their duty to play the most famous heroes and villains, with Tobey Maguire stepping up to play the eponymous character in ‘Spider-Man’ back in 2002. Spider-Man is swinging through the city in one scene when he captures and saves Mary Jane. Even still, if you rewatch the scene, you’ll realize Spidey has been replaced by a somewhat stiff mannequin. To top it all off, despite swinging back into the wind, Mary Jane’s hair is somehow blowing away from her face.

Jay Gatsby goes from soaked to dry in one Great Gatsby scene

  • Movie: The Great Gatsby
  • Year: 2013
  • Mistake: Jay Gatsby goes from soaking wet to dry in one scene

Hollywood may sometimes shoot a scene over several days to ensure they have all of the right material they need to bring their creation to life. We’re not sure if that was the case with only one scene from ‘The Great Gatsby,’ or if Leonardo DiCaprio has some type of ability we’ve never heard of. Leo’s character, Jay Gatsby, enters the room dripping wet in the romantic drama. His suit is drenched through, and his hair is all over the place, but wandering about the room appears to be all he needs to totally dry himself. It could be time for many of us to learn this tip to make getting ready in the mornings go faster.

Maggie appears in Simpsons home room images despite not being born

  • TV show: The Simpsons
  • Year: 1995
  • Mistake: Pictures of Maggie on the wall despite the fact she’s not been born

‘The Simpsons’ has long been a favorite among families. That isn’t everything. The show also holds the record for the longest sitcom, animated series, and primetime TV show, all of which will not be broken anytime soon. With so many episodes under its belt, it’s no surprise that ‘The Simpsons’ has a few TV bloopers to its name. One of these instances occurred in the episode ‘And Maggie Makes Three.’ The episode depicts Marge informing Homer that she is pregnant with Maggie. So how come there’s already a photo of the couple’s third child on the wall in the background? That must be some significant foreshadowing of their second daughter’s appearance.

Game of Thrones’ creator doesn’t understand how they missed a coffee cup

  • TV show: Game of Thrones
  • Year: 2019
  • Mistake: A takeout coffee cup left on the table

‘Game of Thrones’ has grown into something many people never expected. Because the show was based on a series of books, it already had a large fan base, with many eager to learn what happened to the story they had loved for so long. In fact, millions of people tuned in each week to see their favorite characters compete for the title of leader. What is the issue? ‘Game of Thrones’ appears to have overlooked the point when they added coffee shops to Westeros. The last season held viewers’ attention until they saw an unusual addition on the table in one scene: a takeout coffee cup that had been left on the table by accident. Even the creator admitted to Star Channel that “it’s kind of funny.”

Appearing necklaces is one of the smaller TV mistakes from Friends

  • TV show: Friends
  • Year: 1995
  • Mistake: Rachel Green’s necklace suddenly appears between cuts

It can be difficult for devoted ‘Friends’ fans to recall a single memorable scene from the show. Still, many people remember the scene from season two when Ross is dating Julie and the couple announces they’re getting a cat. Is it necessary to bring up that awkward dinner date? Nonetheless, the true TV blooper occurs early in the show. Rachel is discussing it all in Central Perk when the scene cuts and returns, revealing a miraculous necklace that wasn’t there moments before. She may not have Ross at this time, but Rachel possesses powers she was previously unaware of.

Jake and the Na’vi shouldn’t be the same size in Avatar

  • Movie: Avatar
  • Year: 2009
  • Mistake: The size of Jake’s hand compared to Neytiri

The fantasy film ‘Avatar’ blew everything else out of the water. Although James Cameron had the idea in 1994 and intended to release it before the end of the decade, the filmmaker recognized that technology would not be able to bring his invention to life in the way that he desired just yet. Things were finally ready for the big screen in 2009. Even after decades of development, ‘Avatar’ had some dubious moments. Jake makes one when he leans up and grabs Neytiri’s face. Because the Na’vi are said to be 10 feet tall, how is Jake’s hand in perfect proportion to Neytiri’s face?

Grandpa Joe’s walking ability fluctuates in Willy Wonka

  • Movie: Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
  • Year: 1971
  • Mistake: Grandpa Joe’s ability to walk without being seen

So, where do we begin with Grandpa Joe from ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’? The classic children’s book was brought to life on the big screen in the 1971 musical fantasy film, and many viewers have been left shrieking about Grandpa Joe’s ability to jump out of bed at the drop of a hat ever since its release. Still, that’s not the only blunder in a movie. How did Grandpa Joe obtain Charlie the chocolate bar in the first place? He had been meant to be bedridden for 20 years. Did no one notice his unexpected disappearance? No one questioned him when he returned? Grandpa Joe needs to explain himself…

Gladiator had an unusual addition to the chariot race that wasn’t so ancient

  • Movie: Gladiator
  • Year: 2000
  • Mistake: Gas canister left on the chariot

The Ancient Romans were famous for a variety of reasons. They contributed to the development of various items that are still in use today, as well as roads that would put many construction professionals to shame. However, we’re rather certain they didn’t have access to gas canisters back then. If they did, they maintained them as one of the best-kept secrets in the world. Of course, recreating those famed chariot races required the production team for the 2002 historical drama film ‘Gladiator’ to go all out. What is the issue? They forgot to hide or edit out the gas canister on the rear of one of the chariots. It’s easy to overlook yet nearly impossible to ignore once you know it exists.

  • TV show: Friends
  • Year: 2004
  • Mistake: Extras seem to teleport around the city

There are sitcoms and then there are sitcoms like ‘Friends.’ The classic took the genre and turned it on its head, becoming one of the best of its sort to this day. Millions of people tuned in to find out if Ross and Rachel will wind up together and to see Monica and Chandler welcome the twins. In one scene, Phoebe and Ross race to the airport to prevent Rachel from boarding the plane, only to arrive at the wrong airport. Perhaps if they had the same abilities as the teleporting extras who appear to travel from one airport to the next in the blink of an eye, they wouldn’t have had as many problems.

A camera operator made an unexpected appearance in Harry Potter

  • Movie: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • Year: 2022
  • Mistake: Cameraman in the background

Few properties have risen to become as popular as ‘Harry Potter.’ Before being adapted for the big screen, the fantasy series began as novels. Potterheads all around the world have spent countless hours rewatching their favorite films, which means they’ve had plenty of time to spot some of the franchise’s biggest blunders. One of them appeared in the second film, ‘The Chamber of Secrets.’ The combat between Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy is supposed to be the focal point of the scenario. What is the issue? Many people have been distracted by the camera operator, who can be seen in the background. It’s one of those sights that, once seen, is difficult to forget.

Hawkeye forgets which hand to hold his bow in

  • Movie: Captain America: Civil War
  • Year: 2016
  • Mistake: Bow and arrow swaps hands between shots

Some of the most egregious film faults can completely detract from the film’s immersion. Others? They’re tiny blunders that most people can overlook. Still, they can agitate some, who wonder how they went undiscovered. This is true for one sequence in the superhero blockbuster ‘Captain America: Civil War.’ The main focus of the shot is Hawkeye, although it appears that the editors do not share the same hawkeye powers. That’s because Hawkeye’s bow and arrow alternate hands depending on whether the camera is in front of or behind the hero. Of course, this is owing to the use of numerous takes to bring a single scene to life.

The movie Cats was plagued with issues from start to end

  • Movie: Cats
  • Year: 2019
  • Mistake: Judi Dench’s hands and wedding ring

It’s no secret that ‘Cats’ was a fiasco from start to finish. The film was designed to transform the beloved musical into something remarkable, but the result was far from flawless. Despite the all-star cast’s best efforts to bring the felines back to life, numerous errors have been pointed out. Judi Dench was one of many famous figures involved in the project. Many people are still puzzled as to how they failed to remove the actress’ wedding band. To make matters worse, it appears that no effort was made in the editing to make Dench’s hands look more cat-like, resulting in a bizarre human-cat hybrid that’s the stuff of nightmares.

Modern-day additions invaded the final season of Game of Thrones

  • TV show: Game of Thrones
  • Year: 2019
  • Mistake: A water bottle left by Samwell Tarly’s leg

The last season of ‘Game of Thrones’ seems to have more TV bloopers than the show’s creators planned. Although every other component of the script and presentation was meticulously planned, it appears that they overlooked the modern items that scattered the set once the director yelled, “Action!” One occurred when the drama series appeared to leave a water bottle in full view of the camera. Although much of it was hidden below Samwell Tarly’s leg, enough was seen for observant fans to notice the unintentional gaffe. Surprisingly, another water bottle appears by Ser Davos’ foot later in the same episode.

Game of Thrones quickly went back on itself with Melisandre’s choker necklace

  • TV show: Game of Thrones
  • Year: 2014
  • Mistake: Melisandre is seen without her choker necklace

What is it about ‘Game of Thrones’ that causes the show to make more mistakes than people expected? One plotline focused on Melisandre and how she only maintains her youthful appearance due to the choker necklace she is often seen wearing. Almost all of the time, it appears. Merlisandre appears as a young woman to Stannis’ wife shortly after the revelation in season four, despite the fact that her choker necklace is missing. Carice van Houten, the actress who played the role, later revealed to Elle that not wearing her necklace in the scene was simply “an oops moment” from the show.

Even The Good Place’s Janet needed paper help

  • TV show: The Good Place
  • Year: 2016
  • Mistake: Janet is seen being handed a stack of papers by a member of crew

The comedy show ‘The Good Place’ started aired in 2016, and it wasn’t long before millions tuned in every week to see how things would turn up. Janet was one of the main characters in the story, and she was intended to give everyone all they needed to know while also fulfilling their needs. We suppose everyone requires a little assistance from time to time, even if it means breaking the fourth wall. That’s because in one episode from the first season, Janet reaches behind her back only to be handed a stack of papers by a crew worker. Fortunately, it’s a TV error that has largely gone overlooked.

Tin Man has a more mischievous side than it seems in The Wizard of Oz

  • Movie: The Wizard of Oz
  • Year: 1939
  • Mistake: Tin Man is seen untying the hot air balloon

It’s not simply older or newer films that are notorious for making blunders. Both generations of films appear to have produced bloopers in their own unique way. Take, for example, the musical fantasy film ‘The Wizard of Oz’ from 1939. Although it is a Hollywood classic, it also has one of the more blatant errors if you know where to look. When Dorothy is supposed to be going with the Wizard, she runs to retrieve Toto. Despite her request, the Wizard begins to float away on his hot air balloon. Everyone is taken aback as he begins to lift up, but someone shouldn’t be. Yes, Tin Man actually unties the rope that is keeping the balloon down.

Boy Meets World seemed to forget all about one of its characters

  • TV show: Boy Meets World
  • Year: 1993
  • Mistake: Topanga initially has a sister before saying she’s an only child later on

It’s not always things that emerge on our screens that shouldn’t be there or details that were overlooked during editing that cause TV errors. Details from the program that the writers appear to forget about often stand out, especially to die-hard fans who know everything about a show. The sitcom ‘Boy Meets World’ added a slew of characters over the years while mostly focusing on the main group of pals. Nebula was one among those who arrived. Doesn’t it sound familiar? In the first season, Nebula was believed to be Topanga’s sister before being forgotten, and Topanga later admitted she was an only child.

The Rock’s strength seemingly extends to his facial hair in Fast & Furious 6

  • Movie: Fast & Furious 6
  • Year: 2013
  • Mistake: Luke Hobbs’ beard disappears and reappears

With so many films under its belt, it’s no surprise that ‘Fast & Furious’ has a cinematic blooper or two to its name. The action franchise has been a part of our lives for many years, including ‘Fast & Furious 6’ in 2013. Dwayne Johnson has long been one of the franchise’s most visible stars. It also means that Johnson has all eyes on him during every scene, which is why his facial hair appears to alter throughout the film. Luke Hobbs, Dwayne’s character, has a beard at times. What about other times? It’s no longer there. We know The Rock is tough, but we doubt he can grow a beard in minutes.

Quantum of Solace is outshone by the best background character of them all

  • Movie: Quantum of Solace
  • Year: 2008
  • Mistake: Guy sweeping in the background doesn’t touch the floor

Broom Guy may be the International Many of Mystery, but we think James Bond is more intriguing. Okay, he doesn’t have an official name, but this extra knows how to keep all eyes on him. Who thought that sweeping could be enough to grab the spotlight while Bond and others are on screen? If you look closely, you’ll see that the person sweeping in the background of ‘Quantum of Solace’ has his broom a few feet off the floor. We’re guessing it was to keep the broom noise from interfering with the sound recording, but we’re not sure anyone is really attempting to be natural at this point.

Using mind control on the ship was not originally planned by Firefly

  • TV show: Firefly
  • Year: 2002
  • Mistake: Wash pretends to grip a steering wheel to control the ship

Many fans were disappointed when the drama show ‘Firefly’ was canceled after just one season. It has now gone down as a cult classic all these decades later, and many wish to see it brought back to life. Hopefully, if they do, they will reflect about the TV disasters of the past and not repeat history. The premiere of the program sees the group driving away from Reavers, with Wash – the ship’s pilot – the main one who gets them to safety. No one is really clear why they positioned the pilot so far away from the ship’s console and made him pretend to grab the steering wheel, but it certainly made for an interesting scene.

Matthew Perry knew how to shake off an accidental blooper in Friends

  • TV show: Friends
  • Year: 1997
  • Mistake: Chandler Bing wasn’t supposed to hit his head on the cabinet

With so many comedic players in one area, it’s not surprise that the ‘Friends’ ensemble knew how to accept a scene and roll with it when things went off script. Chandler eventually gets close to Rachel’s supervisor, only to be chained in her office. Rachel is concerned about the consequences, despite his request for assistance. It leads to a somewhat amusing sequence in which Chandler tries to dash across the room only to realize he’s chained to the filing cabinet. Believe it or not, the drawer pulling out and smacking him in the head wasn’t in the screenplay, but it made the entire sequence that much funnier.

The tears in Gravity don’t act the way they would in real space

  • Movie: Gravity
  • Year: 2013
  • Mistake: Ryan Stone’s tears float off her face

We had to guess what would happen to someone in space for years. After all, we hadn’t made it there and had no idea how life would be without gravity. What is the issue? The science fiction film ‘Gravity’ was released in 2013, several decades after mankind first left our atmosphere and experienced no gravity. Sandra Bullock, one of the film’s stars, appears in an emotional sequence as her character Ryan Stone. Ryan is seen crying in this scene, and the camera focuses on the tears as they fall down her cheeks. What is the issue? Because of the extremely high surface tension in space, the tears would have instead clung to Ryan’s face.

Jom Halpert popped Dwight Schrute’s exercise ball with a pair of scissors, which was a fan favorite. Surprisingly, the beginning was one of the best TV bloopers that made it into the show. The drama series ‘Gilmore Girls’ was so popular that it was recently rebooted to give fans even more of Rory and Lorelai. Nonetheless, it was the pilot episode that set the stage for one of television’s worst errors. Lorelai begins by introducing her 16-year-old daughter. Many fans were surprised to learn that it was time to celebrate Rory’s 16th birthday by episode six of the same season. While it may seem insignificant, it appears that keeping up with character ages is something that many TV shows, including ‘Gilmore Girls,’ have failed to achieve over the years.

It happened while Kate Pearson was getting a pregnancy test. What is the issue? When the camera zooms in on the box, it’s found that the pregnancy test was actually an ovulation test. Initially, viewers suspected that there was more to the story than what was portrayed on TV. It wasn’t until people behind the scenes opened up that they realized it was just a bad prop.

Some film faults are so subtle that they are easy to overlook. Others? They’ve left us wondering how so many people missed them before the film was released. One of the bloopers comes from the teen rom-com ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before,’ and it has to do with Lara Jean. In one scene, the character’s cardigan is turned inside out. However, someone must have noticed the error and turned the clothes around by the time the camera returns to Lara. The Statue of Liberty is one of the first things that many people think of when they think of famous monuments from the United States. Still, one thing that people have forgotten over time is that she wasn’t always green. Because of the impact of the air, this happened a few years after the statue was built. Instead, in 1886, the Statue of Liberty was brown like a penny and had oxidized to green by 1906. The main characters in the animated musical film ‘Leap!’ fly past the statue as it is being erected in one scene. What is the issue? In the real world, the move would be enough to have you tossed out of a competition. That’s because kicking an opponent in the head is strictly forbidden in karate.

Jake Peralta seemingly forgets his own strength in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

  • TV show: Brooklyn Nine-Nine
  • Year: 2014 – 2016
  • Mistake: Jake Peralta goes from doing pull-ups to not knowing how to do them

Why haven’t you seen the comedy show ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ if you’re seeking for something positively coolcoolcoolcool? Jake Peralta is the star of the show, but that doesn’t mean everyone else doesn’t get a laugh. People are also keeping up with what the characters say and do despite the humor. Many people have noticed how Jake spends a lot of season two showing off his pull-up skills. Unfortunately, it looks that he has lost this skill in just one season. By season three, Jake is yelling at Terry about how he knows he needs to use his muscles when attempting a pull-up, but he just can’t do it anymore.

Doctor Strange pulled a giant doctor blunder while performing brain surgery

  • Movie: Doctor Strange
  • Year: 2016
  • Mistake: Dr. Strange and Dr. Palmer don’t wear surgical masks during brain surgery

Doctors often know more about the human body than the rest of us put together. It also implies they understand everything they should and should not do when working on a patient. It’s no secret that being a brain doctor requires extensive training and a slew of safeguards to keep patients safe. So, how did Dr. Strange and Dr. Palmer fail to wear their surgical masks while doing brain surgery in the 2016 superhero blockbuster ‘Doctor Strange’? All operating rooms require these masks. We’re guessing they didn’t look well on camera. That, or someone didn’t understand the operating room guidelines.

Geoffrey and his drink has kept many guessing from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

  • TV show: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
  • Year: 1990 – 1996
  • Mistake: Geoffrey’s glass of water refills itself in between cuts

Let’s be honest: nothing made us happier than seeing Geoffrey on the set of the sitcom ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.’ We knew the butler was due to say something humorous or have a clever retort ready. Geoffrey seemed to have had some magic buried there as well. That could explain how his cup miraculously refilled itself in between camera cuts during one episode. The glass is virtually gone when the camera is behind the butler, making us question why he’s lugging it around. Still, when it’s in front of Geoffrey, it’s been topped up and is ready to go.

The different elephants might have caught out Mean Girls

  • Movie: Mean Girls
  • Year: 2004
  • Mistake: Cady Heron is seen riding an Asian elephant, not an African elephant

When a film becomes a cult classic, it means something. Still, that was the case for the teen comedy-drama film ‘Mean Girls,’ as viewers fell in love with Lindsay Lohan and the gang right away. What is the issue? With so many rewatches of the film, many people have identified the film’s flaws. Cady Heron’s heritage is one of the most evident – yet still hidden in plain sight. It’s no secret that the primary character resided in Africa, which is also a continent, but hey. So, how did she end up riding an Asian elephant in a childhood photo? We suppose she could have been, but it’s more likely a mistake.

Saving Private Ryan

Saving Private Ryan is a critically acclaimed film that won numerous awards for cast and crew, but also the film itself. Let’s get back on point though, picture the scene when Captain Miller gets hurt in battle. In the photo below, Miller is composing himself as he leans up against a motorcycle, but that’s no ordinary ride. It’s the Ural M-63, and it’s a pretty darn authentic model too. What’s the problem? That particular bike wasn’t built until 18 years after the film was set. Still a good film, though.

Django Unchained

Django Unchained follows the tale of Django “Freeman”, played by Jamie Foxx, a slave who gets separated from his wife and is sold off during the 1850’s. Throughout the film, Django maintains a rock-n-roll look, especially with his cool sunglasses. However there’s a problem with his glasses – no “regular” person ever wore these way back then. Unless of course they were prescribed by a doctor for medical purposes. Seriously. On top of it all, Django’s sunglasses were actually inspired by Charles Bronson’s character in the 1977 film The White Buffalo.

Titanic

Eeek, I hate to include Titanic and Leonardo DiCaprio in this list but it just has to be done. Sorry, guys. There is a particular scene in the film when DiCaprio’s character Jack Dawson is talking with Rose, played by Kate Winslet. No, not that scene. We mean the one when he tells her that he would go ice fishing with his father at Lake Wassota – a lake that was formed in 1917 by a man-made dam. The Titanic sank in 1912 so it’s not possible that he went ice fishing at Lake Wassota – unless he’s a time traveler, of course.

The Book of Eli

Denzel Washington has three Golden Globe and two Academy Awards to his name, but even that didn’t prevent him from landing onto our list. Particularly his work in the 2010 film The Book of Eli. All throughout the film, Washington’s character is protecting a certain book but just not any book, it’s the Bible. However it isn’t until the very end that we learn his character is blind and his Bible is in braille. The blooper? Washington’s braille book is far too thin, a standard Bible should have more than 38 volumes, and that’s not what his resembles whatsoever.

Baywatch: See Through Swimsuit

Pam Anderson and the ladies of Baywatch teamed up with David Hasselhoff for a winner life-saving drama series. While red swimsuits were flying off the shelves, there was one specific red swimsuit that was under scrutiny. Gena Lee Nolin happened to discover that the swimsuit she was given was far from water resistant. Good thing she managed to find the mistake before the cameras started rolling.

Back to the Future

In 1985, we were introduced to the science-fiction comedy film Back to the Future and of course the legendary Michael J. Fox. Which is why it pains us to include them on the list, but hey, it’s gotta be done! There is a particular scene in the first film when Marty McFly is jamming out at his parent’s prom but that guitar of his was only released in 1958. He’s in the year 1955 in the film.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

In particular, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King earned 11 Academy Awards, but even so, they’re still on our list. Below, you can see the mighty Gandalf getting ready for the fight of his life. But there’s one problem: his watch. Such luxuries didn’t exist back then so it looks Gandalf forget to remove his watch before filming the scene. Whoops is an understatement!

Independence Day

Not even one of the highest-grossing films such as Independence Day could have avoided this list. In particular that one jaw-dropping scene when the Empire Building explodes, like from the inside-out. But here’s the thing, the streets which lead up to the building are not the same, real streets which exist in the very real world. Nope, the Empire State Building is not located straight down a road such as shown in the film.

Pretty Woman

Ahem, watching Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in Pretty Woman holds no comparison to anything else ever done. However we need to point out one error – when Roberts’ is eating breakfast, she’s got a croissant in her hand. In the very next shot, it’s now a pancake. Big mistake. Big. Huge.

Forrest Gump

Remember that 4th of July, 1976 celebration scene at Forrest’s house with Jenny? Sure you do! Anyways, the fireworks shown on the television are of the Statue of Liberty…but after it was restored. Was it a time jump? Cause the Statue was only restored in 1986.

American Sniper

Bradley Cooper’s portrayal of the sniper Chris Kyle, was breathtaking, everyone was gripped. But not gripped enough to not have noticed his interaction with the INCREDIBLY FAKE BABY. Apparently the real baby was too sick to appear. We guess this is what improve looks like when gone wrong.

Gladiator

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Gladiator and Russell Crowe are works of art. Nothing can compare to their brilliance. But even that doesn’t stop them from a spot on our list. During the Coliseum fight scene, there is a chariot which overturns, exposing that underneath is a gas canister which fuels the chariot. Now gas canisters didn’t exist during the Roman Empire but it seems that no one caught the mistake. Yeah, still a brilliant film, though.

The Dark Knight

Our brains have this crazy ability to gloss over mistakes and fill them incorrectly. So when you read the newspaper article headline below, you might not notice at first glance that one glaring mistake. The fact that “heist” is spelled incorrectly.

Dallas Buyers Club

Surely you know that the Dallas Buyers Club went on to earn universal critical acclaim, but even that didn’t prevent them from landing on our list. Set in 1985, we watch Matthew McConaughey’s character in his office but there’s one HUGE problem. The poster on the wall behind Ron Woodroof is that of a 2011 Lamborghini Aventador.

Reservoir Dogs

Marvin Nash might as well be synonymous with Houdini and here’s why. In this scene, we watch his character getting dragged to a secret hideout with both hands cuffed tightly behind his back. After a beating, we then see that his hands are now tightly cuffed in front of his body.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Without a doubt, the entire Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is AMAZING, and that’s putting it lightly. Anyways, we need to mention the first film when Captain Jack Sparrow shouts out, “On deck, you scabrous dogs!” Right away, all of the characters run out of the scene to get to work which leaves one crew member – who is wearing a cowboy hat. [facepalm.]

The Mummy Returns: Meema’s Skirt Is Not Battle Friendly

Jockey? Calvin Klein? Ralph Lauren? None of these underwear brands were around during the times of the ancient Egyptians. That was too bad for Nefertiri and Anck Su in The Mummy Returns while they were fighting it out in Pharaoh’s chambers. Short skirts revealed a little too much it seems.

John Carter: A Revealing Costume

For all those fans of Princess Dejah Thoris, here’s a fact you might not have known. Lynn Collins turned her outfit into something a little more appropriate than what was intended for the movie, John Carter. While the real outfit was supposed to be made entirely of ornaments and archaic jewelry, Lynn convinced the crew that she would have it otherwise, and not according to the book. Did you spot the inconsistency in this film?

Game Of Thrones

For all the die-hard Game of Thrones fans out there, it’s pretty hard to get one’s eyes away from the season finale of the show. There’s just one problem with viewers being glued so closely to their screens – they notice every detail. The most recent blooper to make headlines is the obvious sight of a Starbucks coffee cup right in front of Emilia Clark. There’s speculation that it was planted there on purpose… the director argues that it wasn’t.

Grease

Just in case you didn’t know, Grease was pretty much ahead of its time and is still referred to by many as one of the greatest films ever made. However we need to mention the scene when the waitress totally misses the light switch as she is walking to the kitchen – but the light still comes on. We told you it was ahead of its time, and in more ways than one it looks like.

10 Things I Hate About You

Specifically we are here to talk about the scene when Bianca accidentally shoots her gym teacher with an arrow and the teacher immediately sends a student to get some help. Of course that student sprints off in order to “get help” but then they make the horrible mistake of stopping short of the actual exiting frame. No one caught it and she just assumed she was out of shot. Both couldn’t be more wrong.

Pulp Fiction

One of the greatest scenes in Pulp Fiction is undoubtedly the ‘English, do you speak it?’ one. However we’re here to focus on one pretty silly mistake in this awesome film. Before the massive shooting war kicks off…the wall is already riddled with bullets but no shot had even taken place.

Whether you know this or not, we’ll mention that prop guns are incredibly loud. So during the shooting scene at Mount Rushmore, in the background there is a child extra who covers his ear – well before the gun even goes off.

Relax, we don’t mean the one with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, but rather the one with Sean Penn. The blooper in question? There is a pretty important fight scene and all throughout you can see the cameraman! Front and center.

Matrix

Now in the first Matrix film, there’s an epic fight scene between Neo and Agent Smith. And there’s also one huge mistake during that scene too. There is a shot that shows one particular stone pillar which then gets punched clean through with a bare fist. However when Neo ducks under Smith’s punch, it then reveals that the same stone pillar we just mentioned was already busted through. OH.
